Effective 1 November 2026 · App version 1.0.0
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MeasurePulse AI: 3D AR Laser Tape, Room Blueprint, Caliper & Level (package com.measurepulse.ar, “the app”, “we”) handles information. It applies to the Android app and to this website.
1. Camera, depth and microphone
Camera (CAMERA permission)
The AR tape, rangefinder and wall laser use the camera to show a live preview and to find surfaces. Each frame is analysed in memory and discarded immediately. No camera frame, photo or video is recorded, stored or transmitted by the app. The only time an image is saved is when you tap the snapshot button: the picture, with the measurement drawn on it, is saved to your phone’s gallery (Pictures/MeasurePulse) and goes nowhere else unless you share it.
ARCore depth and plane data
On supported phones the app uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) to detect planes, depth and anchor points. Depth images, point clouds and planes exist only in device memory while the camera is open and are never written to storage or uploaded by the app.
This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google LLC and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO permission, optional)
The microphone is used only when you turn on the hands-free “Mark” trigger on the AR tape screen. The app listens for the word “mark” using Android’s on-device speech recognizer. On phones without an on-device recognizer it instead detects a short loud sound (a word, click or clap) by measuring the sound level locally. In both cases audio is processed in memory, is never recorded or stored, and is never sent to us or any cloud speech service. You can deny this permission and use the on-screen button or the volume keys instead.
Motion sensors
The gyroscope, accelerometer, gravity and magnetic sensors power the level, rangefinder and Sensor Mode tape. Sensor readings are processed in memory only.
Object detection (ML Kit)
The rangefinder uses Google ML Kit object detection on the device to place brackets around objects. Images are processed entirely on the device and are not sent to Google. ML Kit may send Google anonymous diagnostics and usage metrics about the ML Kit library itself (for example device model, app and SDK version and performance) — never images. See ML Kit Terms & Privacy.
2. Information stored on your device
The following stays in the app’s private storage on your phone:
- Saved rooms, floor plans, doors/windows, furniture-fit results and tool readings (caliper, level, rangefinder);
- PDF blueprints and shopping lists you export;
- Settings such as units, camera height, caliper and level calibration;
- Ad pacing timestamps and your Pro purchase status.
We never receive this data. If you have Android device backup turned on, Android may include the saved-rooms database in your own Google account backup; that backup is managed by Android and Google under your account and is not accessible to us. Uninstalling the app deletes its private storage. Snapshots saved to your gallery and files you shared remain where you put them.
3. Advertising — Google AdMob
The free version shows banner, interstitial and optional rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Pro users never load the ads SDK. When ads are enabled, Google may collect and process:
- Device and account identifiers — the Android Advertising ID and app set ID;
- IP address — which can be used to estimate your general location;
- Product interactions — app launches, taps and ad/video views;
- Diagnostics — app and SDK performance information such as launch time and hang rate.
This data is used by Google for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention and is encrypted in transit. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s AdMob data disclosure.
Consent (GDPR, UK GDPR and US state laws)
Before any ad is requested, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent form where required, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Your choices are stored on your device. You can change them at any time in the app: Widgets & Pro → Privacy & ads. If you do not consent to personalised ads, Google may serve non-personalised or limited ads.
Advertising ID controls
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on your phone).
4. Purchases — Google Play Billing
MeasurePulse AI Pro is an optional one-time $2.99 USD purchase (shown in your local currency) that removes ads and unlocks instant PDF exports. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play under the Google Payments Privacy Notice. We never see your card or payment details. The app receives only a purchase confirmation from Google Play (order and purchase token) to unlock Pro on your device and to restore it when you reinstall. This confirmation is not sent to any server of ours.
5. What we do not do
- We do not run analytics or crash-reporting services of our own.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, precise location, photos or files.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not record audio or video.

| Microphone | Optional hands-free “Mark” trigger (processed in memory only) |
| Internet & network state | Ads, consent form and Google Play purchases |

7. Children
The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through ads in the app, contact us and we will help.
8. Your rights
Because the app’s data stays on your device, you can view, export, or delete it at any time in the app (Projects → delete), by clearing the app’s storage, or by uninstalling. For data processed by Google for ads, use the consent settings above and My Ad Center. Residents of the EEA/UK and of US states with privacy laws (such as California) may request access to or deletion of personal information; we will respond within the time required by law.
9. Security and retention
Your data is protected by Android’s app sandbox. We keep no copies of it. Google’s retention of ad data is described in Google’s privacy policy.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
